I guess I've never seen myself as a blogger, but what the hell? I'll give it a try! It doesn't hurt if no one's going to read it anyway, hah.
Let's see. What to blog about today.
The Junior Varsity! Woohoo, my favorite subject.
TJV had...er, has, a blogspot page, but all of the pictures have been deleted and what not. It kind of takes a lot of the fun out of reading the blogs, because the captions make entirely no sense. I could imagine the pictures, but I don't have that good of a memory to remember all of them. I guess I should have saved them or something, but hell if I knew they would break up when I first read that.
I guess I could say I'm happy for Andy, though. At least he's in a successful band...kind of. I'll reword that. At least he's in a band that SHOULD be successful. The Dear Hunter is so much better than a lot of the bands out there right now. I won't name any names though. You can probably guess for yourself.
Which is bringing me to a new subject.
Would somebody mind explaining to me why bands with talent can't sell out anything but a home show, yet bands with no talent on say...MTV or something, can? Bands like All Time Low and uh...Mayday Parade really don't do much compared to other bands. ATL even admitted they can't play their instruments. So why do they get the constant playing on MTV but bands like hm...The Junior Varsity and The Dear Hunter can't (or couldn't) get shit.
I mean, sure they're catchy, but is that all that counts in the music industry now? Is if a band is catchy or not? I guess that's all MTV plays though, so I shouldn't be complaining about that.
But for shows, do seriously spend their money so they can hopefully sleep with somebody who can't play a guitar for their life, and can KIND OF write lyrics? That's sad if they do. I think they need to find a boyfriend and get a life. I know everyone doesn't do that, I know I don't. I also seriously want to know why people idolize musicians like that. 1) They're sluts, 2) They have no talent except for maybe a nice voice, and 3) They give no reason to idolize them! Can't people see that?
I'm stopping.
I love TJV.
Bye.
